Special Gopuja for the benefit of students with autism was performed at the Goloka Gosala in the ISKCON, Coimbatore campus

A special Gopuja was held at the Goloka Gosala on the ISKCON campus in Coimbatore for the benefit of students with autism. About 100+ autistic students from Saravanampatti Gaumaram Prasanthi Academy, Autism & Beyond Schools have attended the event.

During the program, the Narasimha Mantra, Sudarsana Mantra, Dhanvantari Mantra and Hare Krishna Maha Mantra were recited as a protective shield for the children. During the Go Puja, children offered flowers to the cows, circumambulated and worshipped the Gomata.

Speaking on the occasion, His Holiness Bhakti Vinoda Swami Maharaj lauded Mrs. Deepa Mohanraj & the teachers who run the school. He noted that their caring for these children so lovingly and patiently in particular makes us humble. Such children may not be able to recite and understand mantras but there is no doubt that listening to these mantras will be of great benefit to their souls.

He said that all the ISKCON devotees, including himself, were very satisfied and happy that Gopuja was performed for the benefit of such children.

The children were given gifts and offerings at the end of the show. The teachers were gifted “Bhagavad Gita As It Is” by His Divine Grace A.C.Bhakti Vedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder Acharya of ISKCON. The event was co-hosted by Mr. Murali and Mr. Siva Ganesh.
